Dollar Soars as FOMC Minutes Trigger Liquidation
In your dreams, China has decided on a novel way to diversify out of the Dollar. They have learned that repackaging works. They are taking dollar reserves and issuing dollar denominated Bonds around $70 Billion so far.

The world wants dollars? China is going to give it what it wants. Good luck on sucking dollars back into the system.

Meanwhile, shoes are about to drop on about 6,000 non public banks and 8,000 non public insurance companies who have the same problems but no access to Tarp.

Do you have a warranty on anything? That is an insurance item.

Investors are scared. The Economy that Obama expected will not be there when he becomes President.

He won't be able to jumpstart many programs until some sort of stability/growth/recov... is visible.

It looks like many of the Green plays may be on the backburner for a "while". And with the talk of a mucher deeper recession, no one knows how long the while will be.

Can a Dubai Silver ETF Send Global Spot Prices Higher?
The Hunt brothers attempted to corner the silver market. They did not succeed and vanished from the commodity scene shortly afterwards. No one really knows what silver's ratio to gold would have been had the Hunts not been around to drive it up.

Having said that, a shortage of silver may develop sooner than later. Silver is a mining byproduct of several other minerals. I read a Kitco article wherein silver output is going down because the mining operations of the others is closing. The estimate was a 70% reduction in silver production, if this trend persisted.

I don't know if the writer was blowing smoke or not. Any opinions?

Is China the Next Shoe or the Final Capitulation?
They screwed up. The deflationary future effects of the natural disasters and the shutdown of the industries around Beijing for the Olympics in Aug. and Special Olympics in Sept. clouded the real state of their economy. They thought they were still fighting inflation. Wrong fight.

I would expect another stimulus package sooner then later.
